Orientation: Official Welcome to the University
Hear speakers on a variety of topics including campus resources and visa information from the International Student Services (ISS) Office.
2-4pm, Husky Union Building (HUB), Room 309
Campus Tour, 4-5pm
Take a tour of the University of Washington campus in a small group with a current student.
Welcome Reception, 5-6:30pm
Join current UW students, FIUTS staff, and University staff for a reception to welcome you and other incoming international students and scholars to the UW. Following the reception, you are invited to join current student volunteers for dinner in the University District. Family members and friends welcome to attend.
Meeting Place: UW Tower Magnolia Conference Room
Scavenger Hunt, Dinner Out & Space Needle, 12-7pm
Explore Seattle's various neighborhoods in small teams. Clues will lead you to landmarks, shops and more! Then we'll meet for dinner and visit the Space Needle for beautiful night views of the city. Bring U-pass, comfortable shoes, $16 for the space needle entrance, plus spending money for food.
Meeting Place: The Burke Museum Cafe
Seattle Underground Tour and Pike Place Market, 12-5pm
Take a humorous guided tour of Seattle's hidden underground area and learn about the city's scandalous history. Then join current students and explore Pike Place Market, Seattle's famous market full of food, curiosity shops, and street performers. Bring U-pass, walking shoes, $12 for Underground Tour admission plus spending money for lunch.

First Day of Classes
First Wednesday Lunch, 11:30am-1:30pm
A popular FIUTS tradition, Wednesday Lunch is a free lunch held each week. It is a great place to see friends and meet new ones! All UW students, staff, and Seattle community members are welcome to attend.
