Community connections are vital to the FIUTS mission and the long tradition of connecting international students and scholars with the greater Seattle community. There are many ways to get involved in the FIUTS community to foster international understanding in the Puget Sound and around the globe.

FIUTS Friendship Programs Host a new UW International Student for a week, weekend, or Thanksgiving dinner.

Take the World to Work Week Take an international student to your office and share insights on working in the US.

Education Outreach Programs Bring UW students to your local classroom or senior center.

Volunteer in the FIUTS office or at Wednesday Lunch.

Alumni Programs Connect with other FIUTS alumni in your area.

Bring a dish to share and meet FIUTS students form around the world, as well as alumni, host families and UW staff.

Take the World to Work Week
Take the World to Work Week is a part of the UW Alumni Association's larger Career Discovery Week, and runs from January 31 - February 6, 2009. The program matches UW international students with local professionals in their field of interest for a day of job shadowing, tours, and cross cultural exchange.
