One generation plants the trees; the next enjoys their shade

Since 1948, FIUTS has been planting something simple and lasting: the belief that when young people from around the world are welcomed and supported here, our region grows because of it. For 78 years, one generation of supporters has made that community possible for the next.

Small acts of welcome and belonging are the roots: the friendship formed over a shared meal today might become a business partnership, a research collaboration, or a lifelong tie to this place twenty years from now. This year, we're asking you to join us as a supporter to help FIUTS keep planting, for the students who haven't arrived yet.

This year, we’ve set a goal of 500 unique donors because it takes all of us to make sure FIUTS is prepared to for the students still to come. No gift is too small to be part of that.

Here Is Exactly What Happens When You Give

$35 — Covers a student's welcome materials, cultural orientation packet, and first program activity when they arrive in Seattle.

$75 — Sponsors one homestay weekend or hosted dinner with a Seattle family — a highlight for every student.

$150 — Funds one month of FIUTS Pen Pals for a Title I classroom in Seattle, pairing third-graders with international university students for a quarter of letters and one in-person meeting.

$500 — Brings an international student ambassador into a K–6 classroom in White Center, Rainier Valley, or Beacon Hill for a full-quarter Global Ambassador Day visit.

$1,000+ — Sustains FIUTS's host family recruitment and matching operations for a month — the infrastructure behind every homestay, every welcome weekend, every relationship that starts with a stranger at a door.
