Hey guys! How it’s going? The rain is pouring like somebody upsets the sky. And no, not enough - the mother earth in Seattle must have been teased way too hard, so she sends us this blowing wind to add up the suckiness of this week to the level where most of us just give up on going out anymore. Overall, it rains, it’s windy, it’s freezing and midterm week is coming up! This is not the best combination of things you would imagine for your life at this point. Yet, we are living in this beloved Seattle now, hang in there and go with the flow. Together, we will survive this, people!

Anyway, I am here now. What I can do to comfort you are firstly, giving you these humble online kisses and hugs (XOXOXO, there you go!). Secondly? I’m giving you an incentive to get through this!

Last week, I had a chance to visit this lovely, yet lively bar and restaurant in Capitol Hill, CAPITOL CIDER. Reachable and friendly staffs with this dim in a romantic and homey kind of way light, you will just feel relaxed.

They provide a bunch of alcoholic ciders which some of them I had sipped tasted amazing. Also, they serve fabulous dishes that will just go with that conversation you’ll have at the table and this drink you might have in your hand. And please do it this way, enjoy the food slowly, talking and sipping along the way. Don’t let yourself be so hungry and just want to binge eat your food then clean your mouth with the cider later. Now that, will just ruin everything I am building up here. Just, don’t. Okay?

You have two options here. When you walk in, you will face this first floor with tables and booths which are delightful. Or, you can take yourself downstairs to the enjoyable bars. Down there, there are also shuffleboard and games, in case socializing and dining are not enough to satisfy you. Mark that they also have a dinner table down stair next to the bar area as well and as you walk down, it will say ‘beyond this point is only for 21 and over.’, if you know what I mean.

Little things that I would complain about: If you choose to be upstairs, they hang these frames of oil paintings which are pretty cool. But people in those paintings and the shipwrecking series can easily creep you out. Just a bit :P

Capitol Cider is perfect if you are looking for a place to chill. It is an absolutely great place to go and do some catch up with your friends. Like I said, you will just feel relaxed at this place. Their food, their drinks and god!, their vibe. And I haven’t even mentioned about dessert yet. Okay, just cut them some slack, they are not a king of dessert. But having a buttermilk cheese cake after pork chop that night was a gorgeous way to end my day.

So hey, study hard, get through this weather, stay inside, keep some money and after midterm has passed, grab some of your good friends and be ready to make a beautiful night!

I’ve heard that they serve brunch, too. So pick the time that work for you. Go out and enjoy your time in Seattle!

Here is their website for more information : http://www.capitolcider.com/

From the University District, you can take 49, 43, 72 or whatever google maps tell you. It takes at most 20 minutes to get there. Not bad at all.

Take care guys!,

Jade :D
