April Photo Contest: Springtime
Beautiful Spring photos of Seattle and beyond.
The monthly FIUTS Photo Contest is an opportunity for members of the FIUTS community to share images from around the world. The theme for this month was "Springtime" and it turns out there's one thing that lots of us can agree on: Seattle, especially the UW quad, is beautiful in the Spring!
Check out the photos submitted by photographers from Taiwan, Korea, Nepal, Brazil, Indonesia, and China, celebrating the beauty of Spring.
First Place

Peter, from Taiwan, says: "Birds are singing; Flowers are shining. Spring returns to the good earth, and restarting your passion."

Aradhana, from Nepal, says: "I am sending a picture which I, along with my friend Veronica Andrade from Ecuador, captured in the Discovery Park, Seattle. The picture is a young bud in a forest. The bud reminded me of spring to begin and how life renews again in the spirit of spring."

Luiza, from Brazil, took this photo at a farm in Piraquara. She says: "In the south of Brazil where I used to live it could get very cold in the winters, but when spring came it happened like magic and the beauty spell lasted until the end of summer."

We are now accepting submissions for the May FIUTS Photo Contest! In honor of International Day of Families on May 15, the theme for May's contest is "Families." Send a photo you’ve taken that makes you think of family to Ellen. Please include your name, where you are from, and a description of the photo and where it was taken. Each person may submit one photo, and photos you submit must have been taken by you. The deadline to submit photos is 12 PM on Monday, May 12.
