In January , FIUTS was honored to receive the generous gift of 1 Bitcoin from FTX.us, a US-based cryptocurrency exchange active in 49 states. While FTX.us is an independent company that operates solely in the US, it is built by the team at FTX International, which is one of the largest crypto exchanges globally. 

FTX.us, its employees, and affiliates have collectively donated millions of dollars to various charities focused on saving lives, preventing suffering, and ensuring a brighter future.  The company’s co-founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, works closely with Effective Altruism, a group focused on partnering with the world’s most effective charities. FIUTS is grateful for the commitment of FTX.us to supporting cross-cultural understanding and looks forward to partnering with FTX.us in future endeavors.

FTX.us employees and affiliates support life-changing initiatives around the world, including this project in Lagos, Nigeria. In this nutritional assistance initiative, FTX.us purchased the supplies to build 250 food baskets. Adebayo, their local representative in Nigeria, put the baskets together at his home. The next day, with the help of the FTX Africa Ambassadors, all the baskets were taken to the most impoverished area of Lagos. With the blessing of the council of village elders, the baskets were handed out one per family.
