FIUTS Statement Against Anti-Asian Violence

In light of the recent increase in instances of anti-Asian racism, including the horrific murders in Georgia on March 16, as well as harassment and acts of violence in Seattle and nationwide, FIUTS once again affirms our unwavering support to Asian and Asian-American members of our community. We stand firmly against all forms of racism and xenophobia. We recognize that while the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated this problem, discrimination against those of Asian descent is not a new concern, and we are all responsible for speaking out as individuals and organizations, and advocating for change at the systemic level.
As always, FIUTS is committed to creating safe, affirming, inclusive spaces for everyone through our ongoing programs and events. While our physical office is currently closed, our staff is always available via email or through our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Discord) to provide support, answer questions, or connect students with resources.
