Explore sights, eat delicious food, go to galleries, enjoy tax-free shopping, hang out at parks, and make new friends from around the world during this exciting trip! Try a famous Voodoo donut or visit the world's largest book store!
Travel from Seattle and spend two nights at a great hostel in the Hawthorne neighbourhood of Portland. FIUTS Facilitators, volunteer student leaders, will offer some fun activities to help you see the city, but your hostel is located in a super hip area close to public transit options so that you have the flexibility to pick and choose your own activities!
Advanced sign-up begins on Tuesday, October 29th at FIUTS office (Schmitz 250)!

Meeting Location & Time: George Washington Statue at 9 AM on Nov. 29rd
Cost: $130 (including transportation and accommodations)
Who: UW students, Scholars, IELP, Faculty/staff only (who have UW ID)
What to bring: Toiletries, weather appropriate clothing for three days/two nights, and an open mind~
Lodging Info: HI Portland Hawthorne Hostel provides breakfast, full kitchen use, internet, great sustainability practices, and bike rentals. As it is a hostel, you will be in a shared room with multiple bunk beds, but you will have your own bed.
