Welcome to Fall International Welcome Weeks at the University of Washington! FIUTS provides special welcome programming for all new international students and scholars at the UW, including graduates, undergraduates, exchange students, and visiting scholars.

Our welcome programming includes Embark, a required session for all new students on F-1 or J-1 visas. Embark sessions will be offered throughout International Welcome Weeks; dates vary per student level. Visit the Embark page to register and learn more.

We also offer a variety of additional events designed to connect you to important resources available to you as a UW student, U.S. customs and lifestyles, and visa and immigration essentials, as well as introduce you to other local and international students and discover Seattle! FIUTS international welcome programming is designed to make your transition to the UW as smooth and rewarding as possible. We especially encourage you to attend the International Welcome Party to launch your UW experience!
