Melmont is a ghost town in Pierce County, Washington, USA. The town was founded in 1900 when the Northwest Improvement Company, a subsidiary of Northern Pacific Railway, started the Melmont coal mine. Rumors say the abandoned town is haunted... and FIUTS DARES you to hike it!

Spend a day with FIUTS exploring one of the two Halloween themed hikes, the Melmont Ghost Town! Bring a packed lunch for a picnic on the mountain. Check out the trails here.
