This event has been postponed and will be rescheduled for fall 2021. If you registered already, we’ll send you an email to let you know when registration is open for the rescheduled event.

Join FIUTS and University of Washington professor Dr. Anu Taranath in a discussion of her latest book, Beyond Guilt Trips: Mindful Travel in an Unequal World. This book was named as a Washington State Book Award Finalist, one of Fodor’s Travels “13 Books to Inspire Your Travels," selected as one of Oprah Magazine's "26 Best Travel Books," and featured in YES!, AFAR, Nat Geo and Bitch magazines.

By sharing engaging personal travel stories and thought-provoking questions about identity, race, and difference, "Beyond Guilt Trips" gives us the tools to better understand the uncomfortable feelings about who we are, where we come from, and how much we have. This event will include a discussion with Dr. Anu and an opportunity to ask questions.
