FIUTS is thrilled to have been selected to host a cohort of students from Cameroon and Pakistan for an American Leadership Experience (ALEX) Program, in partnership with American Councils!

The group of 12 students (ages 17-19) and one adult mentor will be in Seattle from September 17-25, 2022. Students have been competitively selected by the U.S. Embassies in their home countries to receive full scholarships to participate in this exciting exchange opportunity. They will spend one week in Washington D.C. for a civic engagement seminar with American Councils before arriving in Seattle.

The FIUTS ALEX program focuses on the theme of Diversity and Inclusion, and will include volunteer service, site visits to local organizations, a half day at a local high school, opportunities to connect with local university students, excursions to sites around Seattle, and a four-night homestay.
