The pandas might be coming back!

Now what about the Fulbright exchanges?

Discussion on U.S. Diplomacy with China

"Panda diplomacy" has been all over the news lately, as China's President Xi insinuated that more pandas might be coming to the US.

However, student exchanges to and from China through the Fulbright program were ended in 2020, and haven't been restarted. The end of these Fulbright exchanges was a step backwards for international understanding, American expertise on China, and the US-China relationship as a whole.

Join China expert Michael Swaine and Outreach Coordinator Tori Bateman from the Quincy Institute to hear their thoughts on the U.S.-China relationship, the importance of people-to-people diplomacy for avoiding conflict, and how you can get involved in advocacy around the Fulbright program and China-U.S. relations more broadly.

You can find Michael's bio here, and Tori's bio here.
