Columbia City & Seward Park Hike

Spend a day meandering through some of Seward Park's 277 acres of protected forest land to glimpse eagles, beavers, and owls, a native plant garden, and more! After visiting the Park, participants will stop by nearby Columbia City for lunch and sightseeing. With a variety of culinary and entertainment options, this day trip is an ideal way to begin discovering South Seattle.

Difficulty Rating: Easy
Rating Rationale: Participants are encouraged to choose trail(s) that fit their interest and desired difficulty level. Most trails are relatively short in length.

What to bring: Lightweight backpack or bag for water bottle, bus fare (U-Pass, Orca Card, or exact change), snacks, money for lunch, and any other items you'll need throughout the day. Wear comfortable shoes (tennis shoes highly recommended) and weather-appropriate clothing.

Have your plans changed? Why it’s important to officially cancel (as opposed to not show up):

Currently, group sizes are limited to ensure participant safety. This means that we cannot always accommodate everyone who wants to join an event and have an active waitlist. If your plans change, it’s important to let us know because someone would love to have your spot! To cancel your reservation, simply email: annie@fiuts.org. There is no penalty to cancel your reservation.

If you are cancelling for a ticketed event, please note that FIUTS can refund 75% of the ticket price up to three days before an event. If you cancel less than three days before an event, it will not be possible to issue a refund. All refunds will go back on the card originally used to make the purchase within 7-10 business days.
