Woodland Park Zoo

Meet Humboldt Penguins, Snow Leopards, Malayan Tigers, and more across 11 different exhibits when visits FIUTS visits the Woodland Park Zoo, a local wildlife conservation organization and zoological garden!

This is a meet-up event, which means advanced registration is not required for participants.

How do meet-up events work? On Saturday, August 7 at 10:00 AM , you will meet up with a FIUTS facilitator at the UW Campus Flagpole. Then, you will travel a short distance to the Zoo as a group!

What to bring: Lightweight backpack or bag for water bottle, bus fare (U-Pass, Orca Card, or exact change), snacks, money for lunch, and any other items you'll need throughout the day. Wear comfortable shoes (tennis shoes highly recommended) and weather-appropriate clothing.

FIUTS Covid-19 Advisory & Community Safety Regulations:
In alignment with the University of Washington's existing face covering policy and distancing requirements, FIUTS requires all participants to wear a mask for the duration of the event and maintain six feet of distance with others at all times, regardless of their vaccination status. Participants may only remove masks while actively eating or drinking.

Meeting Place/Location: Meet at UW Campus Flagpole. Directions: Starting in Red Square, walk up the steps between Odegaard Library and Kane Hall to reach the UW Campus Flagpole. Participants will travel together to the zoo and pay individually once they’ve arrived!
Audience: All are welcome
Cost: $24 (USD)/per person - covers standard cost of admission to the Zoo. Participants will pay themselves when they arrive at the event - no advanced purchase necessary!
