Student Board T-Shirt Design Contest: Announcing the Winner!

In November, the FIUTS Student Board held a t-shirt design competition to raise money for student leadership development and CulturalFest 2021. With eleven inspiring and creative entries, it was difficult to choose just one winner.

After much consideration, the Student Board selected Kana Kitahama’s “The Globe is Beautiful” t-shirt as the first-place design! To purchase a “The Globe is Beautiful” t-shirt, crewneck, hoodie, and more, visit the FIUTS Bonfire Page! Sales end on Wednesday, December 15 at 11:59PM PST.

“I hope to encourage people who see my designs to start thinking about what they know about foreign worlds and imagine their own globes in their heads. Because I believe imagination can trigger people's curiosities toward other cultures!”

// Kana Kitahama, Designer

Kana’s design is now available for purchase on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and more. Visit the FIUTS Bonfire Page to pick up yours before sales end on December 15 at 11:59PM PST!

2nd Place: Kana Takagi

“My design is inspired my experience from events hosted by FIUTS because I was able to meet many new friends from around the world who explored Washington, participated in various UW events, and made new memories with me!”

// Kana Takagi, Designer

3rd Place: Izzul Hasifi Azram Bin Ikram

“An African proverb I heard was ‘If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’ I wanted to incorporate this proverb into the design as it emphasizes the importance and effectiveness of togetherness. Therefore, I included well-known monuments and attractions from around the world with a road of puzzles in the middle to show international togetherness creating a long road for us to strive. The horizon hints that there are many more monuments and attractions from around the world for us to explore.”

// Izzul Hasifi Azram Bin Ikram, Designer
