CulturalFest 2022 Spotlight: Childhood Games of Korea Expo Booth
The FIUTS CulturalFest on February 19 will feature 11 performing artists and groups who will share cultures from around the world on the Meany Hall stage as well as numerous cultural booths at the UW HUB sharing over 35 different cultures through music, dance, food, conversation, and interactive activities.
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing more about the performers and booths who will be sharing their talents at CulturalFest. First up: The South Korea Expo Booth: Childhood Games of Korea
Meet Jessie Rhee- booth captain of the South Korean Booth for the FIUTS CulturalFest 2022 Expo.
“ I have participated in the Cultural Expo previously to represent South Korea in 2019--it is an honor to be back! I'm really excited to share my childhood with everyone. If you have watched SquidGame on Netflix, you will be familiar with some of the games the South Korean booth has prepared! We are introducing some traditional games that Koreans grew up playing. You will learn how to make Ttakji, Jaegi, and play games together. “
Are you a UW student interested in being part of this booth? The South Korean booth is still searching for additional booth members, so please reach out to hye@fiuts.org if you want to take part in spreading Korean culture!
