Welcome, 2022 SUSIs!
FIUTS is thrilled to welcome the participants in the 2022 Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) on Civic Engagement to our community!
This year’s program will begin with a 5-week virtual institute. This incredible group of 20 young leaders from Angola, Botswana, Mali, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe will meet twice a week over Zoom with FIUTS staff, guest speakers, University of Washington student Ambassadors, and community hosts. Just like previous SUSI groups, they’ll learn about leadership, intercultural communication, community engagement, and project planning. We hope to also welcome them to Seattle for an in-person program component once it’s safe for them to travel!
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing all the participants in a series of blog posts - so keep an eye out for those to learn more about these global student leaders!
