At the International Expo, taking place the same day, numerous cultural booths at the UW HUB share over 35 different cultures through music, dance, food, conversation, and interactive activities.
oday the spotlight is on the final performer at the Performance Showcase: Unity and Memory- Seattle Iranian Choir.
Meet the Seattle Iranian Choir-
“Seattle Iranian Choir is an ensemble with members from the local Iranian-American community. The focus of the group is Iranian and Persian music.
We are attending the Cultural Festival to send our message of unity as well as share some of our old memories with the audience. We believe these messages can be felt even by those who may not understand the language. After all, music has no border.
Enjoy the music and try to feel the message of friendship and unity. Also, think about how the music you hear is similar or different from what you are used to listening to.”
