Faces of FIUTS: Let's Meet Unplugged

We're a South Asian and Western fusion band, blending contemporary Western music with Indian musical traditions!  We are specifically going to showcase Carnatic music which originates from Southern India. Carnatic music has a very unique and intricate structure of scales that evokes specific emotions. Western music is very different from the rigid structure that Carnatic music follows, but our band strives to bring the styles together in a way that complements while respecting each individual style. We hope the audience understands the technical barriers that have been dissolved and takes inspiration to do the same in their own lives.
