Enjoying the Seattle Winter

Fleur, one of our superstar student facilitators, led a group of new students from around the world to enjoy some cold-weather Seattle activities!

Last weekend, FIUTS welcomed new students from all around the world who are joining us at the University of Washington for the start of Winter quarter. One of our amazing facilitators, Fleur, shared her experiences at Sunday's Winterfest outing at Seattle Center:

I took advantage of staying here in Seattle during winter break by leading a group of international students from all around the world to FIUTS winter orientation. All of us enjoyed our campus tour, ice-skating at Seattle Center, and a sunset view at the Space Needle!

It was a lot of fun just being with friends and exploring these fun parts of Seattle. It was also a lot of fun to teach the other facilitator, Saleh, who grew up among those deserts in Saudi Arabia, how to ice skate. It was just as awesome to lead everyone’s first visit up to Space Needle to be surprised by how we are surrounded by volcanoes!

The first week of another exciting winter quarter just started. Hope everyone will enjoy your every single day in Seattle, no matter whether it is rainy or sunny, because we just love it as much!

Thank you to Fleur and everyone who participated! Here are some of Fleur's photos from the day:
